About the event

Is your inner critic the loudest voice in your mind? Do you find yourself dwelling on your shortcomings far more than your successes? Is it easier for you to extend kindness and compassion to others than to yourself? The Love Yourself Anyway self-love, compassion and acceptance workshop will explore how we can cultivate self-love and compassion, and acceptance. So we can respond to all areas of our life with more compassion, love and care. Self-compassion involves acting the same way you would to a friend towards yourself when you are having a difficult time, fail, or notice something you don’t like about yourself. The trouble is we spend more time investing everything we have got in believing that we're not good enough.

Self-compassion is the heart of mindfulness and self-compassion skills help us be kind and caring toward ourselves rather than being critical and judgemental. It allows us to feel connected to others when we suffer, rather than feeling isolated and alone. Unlike self-esteem, the good feelings of self-compassion do not depend on being special and better than other people; instead, they come from caring about ourselves and recognising that we all go through difficult times, we all experience, doubt worry, guilt jealousy anger but we return to a place of self-love

Benefits of Self Compassion : A large and growing body of research, much of it conducted by Dr. Neff, suggests that self-compassion reduces anxiety and depression, enables us to develop healthy habits such as diet and exercise and more satisfying personal relationships, makes us more resilient in the face of challenges, and improves overall wellbeing.

You will learn how to:

Practice self-compassion and kindness in your daily life

Decrease stress and anxiety
